Soap Box and Internet Marketing.

I have been doing some soul searching and studying and have been taking notes. I thought I would share them with you.

The first stage of becoming successful is to be clueless. Therefore, I am not going to give you a fairy tale about how you are going to get rich today.

Timing is everything. You really see clueless people on Twitter. You see the same posts leading to the same landing pages over and over, all of this based on what? Perceived authority is projected all over the place. Sadly, you see it when people send you to an affiliate link where they are branding someone else.

You should be branding yourself and promoting yourself. You know this is what you should be doing. Of course the “guru’s” want you to brand them, they know you are going to quit and they get to keep your contacts. SteamlineFunnelSystem is a great example of this being done for Paul Birdsall.

Here’s my first piece of advice: don’t listen to advice from someone who isn't willing to step up and really help you! Don’t buy into their crap, don’t get stuck in this stage. Now you are going to put your head down and sulk and...

Next, you will look for secrets or short cuts and buy a ton of hype about how you can become a millionaire with nothing more than a keyboard and a mouse. There are people out there who will tell you can get rich with no effort, no work and no investment.

There are even some who will try to sell you pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick plans and every other kind of scam you can imagine. And people actually buy them. At the first sign of a chance to pick up instant cash, people whip out their wallets and give away their life savings. I’m sure you’re smarter than that.

But it’s not just the straightforward frauds you have to watch out for. The Internet changes almost every day. Unless someone is actually earning their living on the Web day in, day out, by the time they’ve finished explaining how to make money on the Internet, chances are, their advice is out of date.

All of that stuff you get for free or a few bucks are all outdated. In fact if you want it I have a huge library on my computer. Just ask and I will look for it and give it to you all inclusive for free.

The fact that it’s so easy to create a Web business was what really makes me passionate. If I wanted to take advantage of an opportunity, it cost next to nothing to try and I lost little if it failed. I mean compare that to starting and running a business in the real world. I hope by now you understand the difference.

The first thing you have to understand is that this is a business and you have to treat it as such. If you are not paying for it with your profits you are wasting your own money. I’m not going to give you any strange theories or fancy ideas. I’m just going to tell you exactly how I am doing it, so that you can do the exact same thing.

Of course, I can’t guarantee that you’ll have the exact same results as me. Heck, I bet if I were starting from scratch today I’d have different results too. I would most likely have better results. All I can do is tell you what I did and explain how I did it. My system works for me; I can’t think of a single reason why it shouldn’t work for you too.

At some point you are going to move into the “If it’s gotta be, It’s up to me”. You will have to make a conscious effort to stop yourself from buying into the hype. All of those things are just there to take money from your pocket. Stick with me and we will find the right way to do business.

Time to get to where you want to go by making you a better you. It is time to change!
