3 Eye-Opening Reasons why Some People earn and some don't.

Top 3 Reasons why some people earn and grow a successful online business, and why some don't.

1st Reason. They understand the power of list building. They understand that the key to building any business, selling any product, or service is to build a list.  You may not fully understand how, but the steps of the bootcamp show you how EXACTLY to build this list and yes build your sales and your business. It is not an instant results exercise. Those that apply what we teach consistently and have a little patience DO see the results.  You must be a visionary and think beyond today. McDonalds Restaurants started with ONE restaurant, a handful of customers and a few hamburger sales. Today they have thousands of restaurants worldwide and have served billions of customers.  This didn't happen in a day, a week, or a year. It took consistent effort to build over time.

2nd Reason. Those earning understand The KISS Principle (Keep it Simple Silly). This expression applies once again. Yes, there is a lot to learn in building an online business. Yes, it takes time but if you take it one day at a time. Follow the instructions going back to basics and focus on what is important to get back on track. Successful people are determined. They are patient and they keep a positive attitude.  You want to know the best way to doom your sales and your success? Be a sour puss!  Positive people are winners.  Like attracts like.

3rd Reason.  Those earning are familiar and consistently USE the extensive inventory of automated tools and support and training included in the Member area.   Remember! We tested the automated tools, we built them ourselves in most cases, others we purchased once convinced of their value and we provide them to YOU to use.  Successful people realize that a certain level of automation for specific tasks allow you more time to build your business.  The successful are those who are the doers!  Remember Tom Hank's character "Forest"  from the movie Forrest Gump?  He was not the brightest lad but he was a DOER!  He made things happen, not by brilliance but by taking consistent action to get results.

Are you a Stinky Fish or a Beautiful Flower?

Stinky Fish!

Have you ever had something go rotten in your fridge? Fish is the worst! Ever notice that no one wants to go near the stinking offender!  Someone eventually holds their nose, picks it up with 2 fingers, holds it far out then hastily closes it up in the trash.  They want to get as far away from that stinking fish as they can!

Have you ever known some people like that?  There seems to be something rotten about their attitude.  No one wants to go near them because they are offensive, rude, hostile or just plain unpleasant to be with. These people give off negative vibes, you don't feel good being around them and you don't want to be.  They are a stinky fish.

Now think about the people in your life that you like to be around. Notice that they are often cheerful, friendly, upbeat and you feel good being around them. They have an attitude and energy that is positive. People are attracted to them.  People lean in to listen to someone that they feel good about.  It's similar to leaning in to smell a beautiful flower, you anticipate good things.   I never see anyone leaning in towards the rotten fish.   Most of us would prefer to surround ourselves with beautiful flowers not dead stinky fish.

I have used this very strong analogy so you can think about how you interact with others. If you are trying to build an online home business and your attitude is negative you will have a hard time attracting prospects and making sales.   Even in a home business you still communicate with people by email and by phone and your attitude always pokes through.  If your attitude stinks so too will your sales.

Now go out today and be a beautiful flower. ;-)

What A Woodpecker Can Teach You About Online Survival

Got any woodpeckers in your neighborhood?

The next time you see a woodpecker watch him for a while. Think about how the woodpecker spends EVERY DAY of his life. The woodpecker must peck, peck, peck away all day and every day looking for food. It’s a matter of survival. The woodpecker doesn’t peck frantically for a few hours then take the afternoon off to snooze on a comfy branch. The woodpecker doesn’t peck frantically for one week straight to fill his tummy, then take a 2 day break snuggled up in his nest. Instead, he pecks away continually, rain or shine. If he doesn’t find food in one place he is off to the next tree to find a tasty morsel. He doesn’t give up when the first 3 trees have no bugs, throw his wings up in the air and say I quit! The woodpecker knows what you need to know: survival requires continuous pecking. In your case, your success is 100% dependent on your continuous pecking strategies for the survival of your business.

In my line of work I talk to marketers, entrepreneurs, and home business operators everyday. Just like in all walks of life you have all kinds of personalities from a variety of background and skills. The backgrounds are diverse but they all bring one thing in common to the table. Essentially a dogma of what they can (or are willing to) do TODAY to build their business.

I am always amazed at how people approach building their home business or business opportunity. Some will bite in like a dog on a bone and go hard for a month, then let go and I never hear from them again. Others study, analyze, learn, listen, think and digest but never get to the part of actually DOING anything. Some will find fault or make the most clever excuses for why they can’t work their business.

Then there are my favorites, I call these people, the woodpeckers.

These are the people that give 100% effort to building their business EVERY day. Like the woodpecker they peck away at the daily required tasks of building their business to call prospects, promptly reply to email, promote their business, take care of customers, generate leads, build their mailing list, generate traffic, network with others, solve problems as they happen, plan and prepare. If one strategy is not producing results they peck away trying to find a more productive outcome, or they peck at another approach, a new angle, a new offer, a new promotion, or new goals. They are not content to give up. They don’t try and accomplish everything in one day, they work daily, steadily, consistently pecking away to get to their goals. Like the woodpecker they know not to overextend themselves and bite off more of the worm than they can chew. Instead they peck away daily at the necessary tasks being sure to maintain a balance with other important aspects of their life.

The Woodpecker’s attitude is a realistic one, he has to search out food every day to survive and feed himself and his young. No one is going to show up at his nest everyday and hand over the bugs. The wise entrepreneur also has a realistic attitude, he or she may not want to do a certain mundane task but knows it is a requirement of building a successful business. He knows that he or she must do the work to earn the success. For our feathered friend the woodpecker, some days the worms may be juicier than others, sometimes the tasty worms are hard to come by and only the bitter bugs are available. Some months there will be more and larger bugs than other months, but the woodpecker (YOU) will have to just keep on pecking away.
